Hello everyone. Who is ready for a new adventure with us? Today we’ll explore the city of Stuttgart. But before starting, let’s know more about this city.

Stuttgart (called the “car’s homeland”, then you’ll understand why!) is the capital of the state of Baden-Wurttemberg. It’s a city located in proximity of the Black Forest (it is a mountainous area to the south of Germany) and the Neckar river. Its fame is mainly due to its cultural and economic importance but also for the sport, well known is its Mercedes-Benz Arena. This great metropolis is divided into twenty-three districts, two are the most important: Bad Cannstatt where there is the biggest spa in Europe and it is here that takes place the annual festival “Cannstatter Volksfest” and Möhringen where there are several concerts. The closest cities to Stuttgart are Frankfurt am Main and Munich . A special feature of this country is the Zahnradbahn Stuttgart, a very avantgarde tram.

All this is only a small taste of Stuttgart. Ready to start our exploration?

To know more ( what to eat, where to eat, where to have fun, things to visit…) continue to read.

We start our adventure entering in the Stuttgart cultural world (which as said before is one of the points that gives it its fame).

  • Johanneskirche: the majestic Gothic church located on a small peninsula surrounded by the Feuersee river. Initially the church had a tower destroyed during the Second World War. It was decided to leave it incomplete in memory of that event. The atmosphere is really suggestive especially when the sun goes down and the building lights up.
  • Stiftskirche: Evangelical-Lutheran church located in the city center. It has a high tower that makes it recognizable.
